Wire Welding

As anticipated at the close of the previous article, today I will discuss the Mig/Mag Wire Welding procedure "EN ISO 9606-1 136"

Wire Welding is also known as semi-automatic continuous wire welding, because it is not only a manual procedure but uses a generator to which is connected an external unit that contains the filler wire in a spool of about 15 kg . The coil of wire (which replaces the electrode) can be solid wire or flux cored wire, the this welding process, allows continuous welding giving the welder a lot of autonomy.

The MIG MAG Continuous Wire Welding process uses a shielding gas mixture; the composition of the Gas mixture to be used depends on the materials to be welded, but many times carbon dioxide and argon gas are used.

Continuous Wire Welding Process Mig Mag

The Mig/mag wire process is certainly the most widely used in the metalworking shops of the world, which learning in my opinion and much simpler than the other welding techniques.
The new machines are equipped with an advanced on-board computer, which if well set up simplifies the welding so much, as with the program you can adjust the welding according to the type of piece-joint to be welded.

Mig- Mag Continuous Wire Welder License

The qualification process for receiving the Wire Welding license, is similar to that already explained in the coated electrode welding article. The joint-piece to be welded during the final examination, is fixed in an upright position and welded at full penetration with reverse take.

Our MIG-MAG Continuous Wire Welding Course

In our Welding School, the time to learn this welding process, is about one month of intensive welding. With our certified teaching method, you will weld about 100 hours very intensively and the percentage of passing the final exam are very very high. Upon successful completion of the final exam, we will issue you with the International Welding License certified by the Italian Institute of Welding, an entity recognized by all Italian companies that hire welders.
