The Continuous Wire Welder

The Continuous Wire Welder is one of the most sought-after professional figures in Italy's job market. Specialized continuous wire welders are scarce, and companies are constantly seeking to hire such personnel.

Companies seek high-quality, production-ready Continuous Wire Welders for immediate integration. Before hiring, they always require the welder to possess a Continuous Wire Welding Certification, as it serves as a guarantee of their proficiency in welding.

Today, the only way to become a quality continuous wire welder is to participate in a Continuous Wire Welding Course and obtain the Welding Certification. This involves undertaking a highly professional and extensive welding course at a recognized and reputable Welding School, with a practical, job-oriented training program.

In addition to guaranteeing the achievement of your goal, our Welder Training Center provides essential free services to help you find employment as a welder.

Our Welding School is a genuine productive metalworking workshop where we construct heavy structural steelwork and piping. We train welders to be immediately capable of entering manufacturing companies.

Continuous Wire MIG MAG Welder Course

Our Continuous Wire MIG MAG Welder Course is highly practical. Welding begins within the first hour of the course and continues uninterrupted until the day of the welding certification exam. These numerous hours of pure welding are designed to transform you into a high-quality welder.

You will learn to weld using various welding techniques and different materials, in diverse positions and with multiple levels of difficulty. You will start by welding sheet metal in flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal positions, then progress to pipe welding. We will teach you to weld in various stances—standing, kneeling, lying down—and with both your right and left hands, ensuring you are prepared for all demands from your future employer. In essence, you will undoubtedly participate in the most comprehensive and significant course available in Italy.

Our Continuous Wire MIG MAG welding course starts from scratch, requiring no prior welding experience. It lasts 20 days, 8 hours a day, has no age limits, and enrollment is open to individuals aged 16 and above.

Continuous Wire Welding School

Our Welding School provides everything necessary for the course: Welder's clothing and shoes, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), continuous wire welding machine, welding materials, filler materials, workbench, toolbox with all essentials (mask, brush, apron, welder's cap, tools and equipment), free lunch canteen, accident insurance, free accommodation for the entire duration of the course, etc.

During the Continuous Wire MIG MAG welding course, you will be guided by the best Welding Instructors and Welding Inspectors nationwide, who will train you from scratch to become a high-quality welder.

At the end of the course, we will issue you the Continuous Wire MIG MAG Welding Certification.

How to Obtain MIG/MAG Continuous Wire Welder Certification?

The MIG/MAG Continuous Wire Welding Certification is the most important qualification a welder can receive, as it attests to their welding skills and abilities. Through our Welding Course, participants acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills that make them truly certified welders, ready to work in the best metalworking workshops.

Our Continuous Wire Welder Course guarantees the issuance of the Welding Certification by the best and most recognized Italian Certification Body (IIS) according to UNI EN 9606 and UNI EN 287 Standards.

Care must be taken not to confuse the Welding Certification with the various “welding certificates and attestations that confirm attendance of a course according to UNI EN standards…” because while these may be cheaper, they hold very little value for employment purposes.

To obtain the Continuous Wire Welding Certification, there are no shortcuts; on the day of the exam, in front of a certified inspector, a welding test must be performed. The welded pieces are then subjected to laboratory tests (tensile and radiographic tests). Only upon successful completion of these is the Welding Certification, valid throughout Europe, issued.

Welding Certification - Welding Certificate UNI EN 9606 and UNI EN 287

The Continuous Wire Welding Certification, if obtained privately, is linked to the individual who earned it and must be renewed every two years.

Metalworking companies that produce iron structures and carpentry are legally obliged to perform welding only with qualified and certified welders, which is why the certification becomes extremely important for job seeking as a welder. Indeed, the first thing companies ask during the hiring process for a welder is whether they already possess the Welding Certification.

Our MIG/MAG Continuous Wire Welding course ensures you obtain the certification because we will train you on all possible welding test pieces you might encounter on the exam day, as we have compiled all tests requested over the last 30 years and incorporated them into our welding program.

Job Opportunities for Continuous Wire Welders

With our Continuous Wire Welder Course, you become a welder ready to work in metalworking workshops for carpentry and piping. The MIG/MAG Continuous Wire Welder is highly sought after in the job market; numerous companies are constantly looking for this specialized professional role, but certified Continuous Wire Welders are few and hard to find in Italy.

The MIG/MAG Continuous Wire Welder is primarily employed by metalworking companies that construct heavy carpentry; indeed, they are highly sought after by companies that build ships, trains, aircraft, industrial sheds, tanks, silos, etc.

Finding a job as a Continuous Wire Welder?

How do companies conduct the search and selection process for a Continuous Wire Welder when hiring?

The company advertises the welder vacancy online and offline (through employment agencies or other channels).

Once the company receives applications, only welders who possess a Welding Certification or have previously worked with the company are selected.

The company conducts an internal welding test in its workshop, which is usually very similar to the certification exam.

Our Welding School trains you specifically on the potential welding tests you might encounter during the Continuous Wire Welder Certification exam. In fact, we have included in our MIG/MAG Continuous Wire Welding Course program all tests that have appeared over the last 30 years during which we have conducted courses (We are the oldest Welding School in Italy), and we will also train you on most of the tests that companies will ask you to perform before hiring you.

MIG/MAG Continuous Wire Welding

The Continuous Wire or MIG/MAG Welding process is widely used by metalworking companies due to its high productivity and broad applicability to automated workshop production. Advantages and Disadvantages of MIG/MAG Continuous Wire Welding:

Advantages of Continuous Wire Welding

Almost all types of ferrous and non-ferrous materials can be welded.
High weld quality.
Usable in all welding positions.
Does not produce welding slag.
High productivity and efficiency.
Easy-to-learn technique.

Disadvantages of Continuous Wire Welding

Bulky equipment.
Reduced weld pool protection compared to other welding processes.
Sensitive to drafts.
High costs of shielding gases.

Continuous Wire Welding is an autogenous welding process where the arc strikes between the workpiece and the consumable wire.

The device containing the wire spool continuously feeds the weld (unlike an electrode, which must be replaced once consumed). Gas shielding is provided directly to the weld pool by a shielding gas.

For MIG welding, inert gas (e.g., Argon) is used, while for MAG welding, active gas (CO2) or ArCO2 mixtures are employed. Pure Argon is primarily used for welding aluminum, copper, and its alloys. The ArCO2 mixture, however, is used for all other materials (iron, stainless steel).

In continuous wire welding, based on how filler material droplets detach, there is Short Arc transfer (large droplets detaching by short circuit, achieved with low currents, used for positional welding and filling) and Spray Arc transfer (a continuous flow of small, free droplets, using high current, resulting in good quality welds with a good appearance, and a stable arc condition).

The MIG/MAG Continuous Wire Welder

Students attending our Continuous Wire Welding Course will use a continuous wire welding machine, composed as follows:

Torch with a dual function: it strikes the arc between the wire and the workpiece and delivers shielding gas to the weld pool.

Ground clamp

Arc power source (in modern machines, control is electronic)

Wire feed and control mechanism

Wire spool holder

Shielding gas cylinder
