Welding Course

Professional Welding Course with Welding License Issuance

Welding Course: Our Welding School is the oldest in Italy and one of the best in Europe, our Welding Course has a training program of the highest quality. The Welding Course is very practical and aimed at making you become a real welder and obtain the International Welding License which is essential and necessary because:

  • It is the first thing companies require of a welder they want to hire, as it attests to his or her welding skills
  • It is compulsory by law for most metalworking sectors

Be careful not to confuse the Welder's License with certificates, attestations and patents, which are useless for the purpose of the job. To conduct a Welding Course, it is highly recommended to go only to Welding Schools that guarantee you and ensure that you will achieve the goal of the License.

A welder is one of the most in-demand and best-paid occupations in the job market; hundreds of metalworking companies are always on the lookout for quality, licensed welders.

Find a job as a Welder

Welding is used in a variety of engineering fields, and particularly in construction and assembly. Welding is used in the construction of high-pressure equipment (tanks, exchangers, reactors, etc.), for the construction of carpentry, iron structures, airplanes, ships, trains, automobiles, food machinery, etc. There are so many applications and companies that need welders in their production processes. Italian companies, in most cases, require possession of the Welders' Patent before hiring a welder, because it is important guarantee of the welder's quality.

Especially if you are starting from 0, an excellent Welding Course is the only solution that allows you to become a Welder in a short time

I took both the Tig and Electrode Welding course and the Wire Welding course, and found a very welcoming environment with very knowledgeable Instructors who followed me step by step until I obtained both licenses, which were issued following examinations by an external examiner, with visual testing and radiography of the specimen. At the end of the course I was helped in my job search and was provided with over 130 names of firms in the carpentry industry scattered throughout Italy. What can I say, better than this cannot be expected. I sincerely thank all the staff of Scuola di Saldatura Sicilia P. S. Before starting the course I had never welded before now I feel ready to work as a welder even in specialized companies.

Excellent school, in just one week I managed to get my license. It was 8 hours a day very intense and tiring, but they manage to bring you to the desired goal. I come from Calabria in the province of Cosenza. I did not have any problem for a place to sleep or eat, I got off the train I was picked up taken to one of their houses at their disposal, for the duration of the course and even more. The training they pass on to you is not just to know how to weld, but to already know how to work in our chosen field! Excellent experience,I look forward to returning for more goals.

We had the pleasure of enrolling in the Itaforma Welding School one of our beneficiaries, from Ghana, Issa Emmanuel who has, attended the course and also obtained his license. Issa got along very well with the highly qualified staff and although he did not speak our language very well, he had the opportunity to be tutored by an English-speaking assistant. We are very pleased with the outcome and the highly educational experience. ExSprar/Siproimi Meeting Center of Carlopoli (CZ)

ITAFORMA - Metal Mechanical Welding Courses | Electrode Course Sicily 3 | ItaForma School | Welding Course

Electrode Welding Course

Coated Electrode Welding Course (with code SMAW or #111) is the course that makes you a qualified electrode welder. Electrode welding is currently the most widely used welding procedure in the world, much used in construction, building, and light metalwork. During the procedure, an electric arc is produced between a coated electrode, and the workpiece, molten metal droplets from the electrode are transferred to the weld pool, and gases produced by the coating protect it from the atmosphere. It has low equipment costs, greater versatility of use, also ideal for welding on outdoor construction sites. It allows almost all ferrous materials to be welded, but has low productivity since the electrode has to be replaced often and the workpiece has to be cleaned of the slag that forms.

Our Electrode Welder Course with Electrode Welder License issuance lasts 80 hours, in 15 intensive days of welding. If you need more detailed information about our Electrode Welding Course, please visit our dedicated page → ElectrodeWelding Course.

Tig welder course Sicily

TIG-ARGON Welding Course

The TIG Welding Course (GTAW): TIG welding allows almost all ferrous and nonferrous materials to be welded, produces very high quality, slag-free welds. It is a more expensive procedure than other welds, ideal for shop and indoor welding, not suitable for outdoor construction sites. TIG welding is an arc procedure with an infusible electrode under inert gas protection, which can be performed with or without filler metal. TIG welding is one of the most popular methods, requiring highly skilled operators.

We have available 2 TIG welding courses with TIG Welder License issuance:

  • TIG welder course, 80 hours in 15 days
  • TIG + Electrode Welder Course, 140 hours in 30 days (with this course you learn two welding procedures, become Argonist welder, the most in demand and best paid welder by companies)

The TIG Welder, welds mainly for companies building and assembling power plants, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, refineries, oil and gas pipelines, aqueducts, etc. For more information visit our page dedicated to TIG Welding → TIG-ARGON welding course.

ITAFORMA - Metalmechanical Welding Courses | Photo Wire Welder | ItaForma School | Welding Course

Continuous Wire Welding Course

Our MIG MAG Continuous Wire Welding Course makes you a truly qualified welder. Continuous Wire Welding, also known asMIG(Metal-arc Inert Gas) or MAG(Metal-arc Active Gas), in America with Code GMAW, is a welding procedure in which the protection of the weld pool is provided by a cover gas. It is a welding procedure developed after World War II and has become important in the world of metalworking. Continuous Wire Welding, is an economical procedure that is very productive and does not produce slag. Wire welding is more expensive than electrode welding, but has a higher production yield because the weld has greater penetration and requires fewer passes to fill the joint.

Wire welding is recommended on the shop floor or in protected environments, as wind disperses the shielding gas necessary for quality welding.

Continuous Wire Welding is widely used in the construction of tanks, structures, heavy carpentry, ships, trains, airplanes, cars, and construction.

Our Continuous Wire Welding Course for Continuous Wire Welding License lasts 100 hours, in 20 intensive days of welding. If you need more detailed information about our continuous wire welding course, please visit our dedicated page → Continuous Wire Welding Course.

The Welding

Welding is the process of joining two pieces into one.

Welding can be done by different processes and machinery, depending on the specifications required by the project.

Before implementing a weld, the essential activity of caulking, that is, preparing the 2 edges of the joint to be welded, must be carried out.

If the two joint edges are heated to the point of fusing together with the input of a homogeneous material, it is called Autogenous Welding, while if a heterogeneous filler material is fused on the two joint edges, it is called Heterogeneous Welding.

For perfect welding, the joint to be welded must be protected from oxidation and slag by oxygen deprivation.

For more complex welding jobs, heat treatment is usually carried out, which removes internal stresses due to the cooling of the workpiece post-welding.

The new welding machines allow welding of many materials: steel, aluminum, copper, cast iron, etc.

Welding, may have defects and they may have been caused by several factors: by the welder, materials used, or techniques performed. Among the various welding defects we have: Notches, cracks, sticking, blowholes, porosity, lack of penetration, etc.
