Welding License Sicily
With our course, we issue UNI EN ISO 9606 Certification, also called International Welding Patent. We issue Patents only from major Certification Bodies recognized and accredited by ACCREDIA (Italian Welding Institute, TUV, Bureau Veritas, etc.).
We also have close cooperation for the issuance of licenses for the Naval sector with RINA Services S.p.A. for the certification of welders and welding operators in accordance with international standards and naval classification regulations, which reflect the requirements defined in the documents issued by IACS.
The examination for the license is all hands-on, and the welder must demonstrate to a national Inspector of the Certification Body that he or she can perform high-quality welding.
The Patent today has practically become indispensable and compulsory, most of the time imposed by European laws, because the welder performs welding for parts that come into contact with people and therefore must know how to weld well and without defects.

General Information on Welding
Welding is the process of joining two pieces into one. Welding can be done by different processes and machinery, depending on the specifications required by the project. Before a weld is implemented, the essential activity of caulking, that is, the preparation of the 2 edges of the joint to be welded, must be carried out.
If the two joint edges are heated to the point of fusing together with the input of a homogeneous material, it is called Autogenous Welding, while if a heterogeneous filler material is fused on the two joint edges, it is called Heterogeneous Welding.
For perfect welding, the joint to be welded must be protected from oxidation and slag by oxygen deprivation. For more complex welding jobs, heat treatment is usually carried out, which removes internal stresses due to the cooling of the post-weld workpiece.
The new welding machines allow welding of many materials: steel, aluminum, copper, cast iron, etc.
